The amazing progression of the England team in the World Cup 2018 competition has had everyone back in England going football crazy with the possibility of bringing the World Cup ‘back home’ from Russia.

The public really have been caught up in the performance of the English squad, making it into the Semi Finals which will be played next week against Croatia.

Someone else who has been caught up in the football frenzy is ex Chelsea and England footballer John Terry.

Terry who built up a reputation of claiming glory for matches he never played in, most notably when Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League Final, appeared in full kit to lift the trophy, although he never actually played.

Terry was seen purchasing a full England kit at a local Sports Direct store this morning, he told POW:

“It’s fackin amazing isn’t it. I watched it last night and just had to get down the shops this morning to get my full kit and book my flight over to Russia.”

“The lads need me right now, in a full England kit sat on the sidelines and for me to lift that World Cup trophy – I started all of this.”

We understand that Gareth Southgate has put a restraining order in place to stop Terry getting within a mile of the squad.

We caught up with John just as he was boarding his flight today (in full kit), he told POW:

“This is going to be the pinnacle of my career, World Cup winner and to lift that cup will mean everything to me. It’s coming home, back home to my house.”
